About 2 and Twenty

This is a blog about the hedge fund industry. It is not a blog about managing a hedge fund portfolio, complete with money-making ideas or trading anecdotes. There are plenty of blogs on the web written by portfolio managers. This blog offers the perspective of the industry from someone who, while immersed in it, is in a sense watching from the outside.

Sometimes the entries will cover matters directly related to hedge funds, especially the topical areas about which, thinking about the industry every day, one cannot fail to have opinions. Other times the entries will be related to the industry more indirectly, chronicling the experiences of a writer travelling to different countries, eating in different restaurants and meeting different people to those one would meet writing about a different industry.

It is intended to promote debate, inspire responses and feedback. But first and foremost it is intended to provide some light-hearted entertainment for our subscribers, most of who work extremely long hours and spend more time reading weighty, analytical reports than frivolous blogs.

Please help to make this blog as lively as possible by posting your thoughts, comments and other feedback. All responses will be sent to the author, and then posted on the site, subject to legal considerations. This may take a few hours, so please be patient, and we will endevour to get comments posted as promptly as possible.
